Rusty Smith On RD2

We have to think like we are a part of each others’ companies in order to innovate. With so many moving parts and user scenarios, it takes a tightly integrated set of teams and tremendous focus. Rusty Smith and the team at Tyler Technologies have become great partners through the years. We’re happy to see this new project rolling out. Look for more from Tyler Technologies on the CAD application in the near future!

Rishi Dave On RD2

It’s humbling to work with smart people like Rishi Dave. He’s seriously one of the smartest people I know. Rishi is a hard driver and a tremendous partner of RD2. He’s been our counterpart on many successful Dell initiatives. Rishi is the Executive Director of Online Marketing at Dell. He’s has degrees in Chemical Engineering and Economics with Honors at Stanford University. Rishi also holds an MBA in Marketing from Wharton School. Sheesh!!

Just last week I had the chance to catch a few seconds of Rishi on camera to get his feedback on working with RD2 during the Dell World Conference in Austin, Texas.

Rishi also is an avid runner and cyclist. He’s playing possum by telling me he’s not so fast but I’m very nervous to ride with him….I think he’s gonna drop me. We’ll be doing a ride together soon and I’ll be sure to post the results of our little adventure!

Meet Grant Dalton

Twice now we’ve had the unique opportunity to work with Grant Dalton and his team at Emirates Team New Zealand. As I mentioned in a previous post, Grant is one of those guys who seeks adventure at every turn. He’s sailed around the world (many times), he’s done some insane motorbike tours, he’s run an Iron Man, and now he’s launched a social media blog for Emirates Team New Zealand… and along the way it all feels like another adventure. During our trip last week I got a few words on camera of Grant talking about his experience with RD2.

Patrick @STATRAVEL on RD2

Chemistry is something that you can feel. You can see it in the work and you sense it in the energy behind the ideas that are created within a team. We’ve thoroughly enjoyed working with the team at STA Travel and there are many beautiful online properties as a result of our working together.

Gary Hamel On RD2

We recently launched another version of The MIX. This is a project that has been ongoing for over two years now. After meeting with Gary many times in the beautiful San Francisco area I finally got to see him in Action. This week Gary spoke at Dell and we were able to make it down there to watch him. I’ve met some smart people in my life and this guy is one of the tops. Gary is just an unbelievable speaker. I wish everyone in business had the opportunity to see him speak, let alone work directly with him.

We were able to have lunch with Gary Hamel and Andy Lark and catch up on a few things prior to Gary’s speaking engagement. We were talking about the process and how things have been going on the project. Gary had a lot of nice things to say and I asked him if he would not mind saying these things in front of a camera. He was happy to. Thanks for this, Gary!

Andy Lark on RD2 Partnership & Dell ITEN Android Application

As part of the effort in developing the recently launched Android Application for Dell, we had a series of iterative reviews with the Dell team. Chris Collins made RD2 his home away from home. Also, Andy Lark visited us in Dallas for a final review and application test drive. We had some informal discussion on how the project was running and captured a few of his thoughts on what he felt was critical about partnerships like ours.

It’s obvious that we are super pleased with how the RD2 team was able to pull this off in three weeks from start to finish. It should also be mentioned though that the Dell team was simply amazing at helping us define these requirements and work hand in hand as part of the team. Thanks Chris Collins, Rishi Dave, Mark Belcher, and Andy Lark for your help.

Gil Turchin: “It Was Easy Working With RD2″

Recently we posted about the launch of the new Turchin Capital Advisors brand and website. Late last week, Gil Turchin stopped by to pay us a visit. We were reflecting on the project and the final creative assets for his new brand and I was surprised he did not mind when I used my iPhone4 to capture a few of his comments.
