After the kids are in bed and when it is very late, I read my feeds…probably way too much. Even though Brian Oberkirch told us we don’t have to read everything, I am guilty of going too far. I hope that every time i am able to do this, I come across some great nugget. Here’s one that I watched twice in a row that really hit home.
One of the most intriguing parts of this video is when Ken Robinson talks about our children who start school this year will retire in the year 2065. Today we don’t even know what we will be doing in the next year or five years. If fear of making mistakes is the mind killer…and it takes risk to help in growth…it’s interesting to me to look at how our children communicate and think around topics they don’t yet know much about. In our heart pounding moments, where we have one shot (or think we do), and everyone is listening…what would our children do? What they do naturally is something many of us would consider an “outer body experience.”
My teenagers are definitely capable of causing me to have an “outer body experience”.
