Some of us have a weakness for bikes of all shapes and sizes. Personally, I’ve a sick passion for steel road bikes, rigid-single-speed mountain bikes and Italian sport bikes. Lately, I’ve also been keeping tabs on my buddy Richard Krall, who has been building his HDK1.
The other day Richard sent me some more pictures of his new bike. He said he would not mind if I shared them on our blog. The work he has done on this rig is really, really nice. Here are some new pics from Richard’s studio (yes, he’s a professional photographer too) of his latest creation.
One might think that I’m pimping the RD2 blog for my bike fetish, but it should tuck nicely into our “design” category, eh?
In any case, stay tuned for an interview with Richard.

Wow! Is this a prototype? Looks like the body is draped over the machine. Beautiful!
Gina – It’s a custom re-creation of a Harley Davidson, Soft Tail, Night Train. Richard is an artist in Dallas who had a really cool vision and did a great job executing…
Looks like “Human Drape – Optional”
I saw this bike about an hour ago and got to speak to Richard about it – what a beautiful piece of work! I too have a bike jones (Ducati – until now…)and couldn’t help but pull in and admire it.
You should ask Richard about his first bike; a “bitchin” Yamaha 250 twin! Oh, it was customized too…ask him about that lil’ beastie.
